Here is a glimpse at what we use the monetary donations for!!

Where Does the $$ Go

· Nintendo DSs and various games for the unit for use by kids who do not have a DS.  This is a great way to help the time pass while in the hospital.

· Various age appropriate toys/gift cards for the kids.  Lots were donated.  We went out and bought more of particular ages to be sure we had enough for each age group. The gift cards were primarily for the older kids, who are too old for toys.  ITunes and Best Buy gift cards were a hit!!

· Craft supplies for use during our visits to the unit.  The kids love to do crafts.

· Food for the families.  We like to bring food and give the families a place to get to know one another.  During our stays in the hospital it was very helpful to be able to talk with other parents who actually understood what was going on and understood the awful cancer terminology.   We believe building a support group of other families that are battling childhood cancer is a vital part to coping with this awful diagnosis.

· Administrative Expenses:  Thank you cards, stamps, and toy bins.
